Mental Health Advocacy

Mental Health Advocacy- There is a severe lack of funds in the area of Mental Health. A lot of people don’t get adequate treatment because they are too poor. This series of work new for 2018 is going to start the conversation of the need to do more for people with Mental Illness. The other thing I would like to do with this art is to start a conversation about the stigma’s of mental illness. For instance when people hear the word, “Schizophrenia” they think of something negative. When I hear this word, I think about my brother who has this illness. He is a beautiful soul that never talks bad about anyone. He helps my mother who has COPD. He has three kids that love him.

Mental Health Advocacy Posters- This series is all about the stigma involved in mental illness. The hope is that they will create a conversation about the lack of education on mental health stigmas.
