26 Soldiers, Mixed Media-

I get my inspiration from things of the past. Things that are becoming obsolete in my lifetime, and will soon be forgotten by our children. The piece is called, “Twenty-Six Soldiers.” There is a quote by Benjamin Franklin, “Give me 26 lead soldiers and I will conquer the world.” I still have this belief that words and letters are living creatures and awaken when we read them. Think back to the time when your parents read to you and how magical it was that they could form the words with their lips, which the letters made. Or the first time you said, CAT or read “Cat in the Hat.” These are the emotions I hope people see when the view “Twenty-Six Soldiers.” The “Twenty-Six Soldiers” that create war and peace depending on how they are put together.
